SWAP CONSIGNMENT
There are two ways to sell your items at the Bay Area Bike Swap:

SWAP CONSIGNMENT: Participate in the one day consignment. Your item will be available for purchase by attendees. You set the price, we will collect payment, take a fee and send you a check. No need to hang around and haggle a price. To participate MORE DETAILS.

SWAP CONSIGNMENT
Bring us your item and we will sell it for you at the SWAP! We'll do the hard work while you are enjoying the festival. All you have to do is register as a consignor, let us know what to sell, and drop off your items the morning of the event. We will make your item available for purchase, field any questions and take payment (cash or credit card.) If we've sold your items, we will take a commission and mail you a check. Otherwise, you'll need to pick up any unsold items at the end of the festival or mark it for donation. There is an upfront $20 registration fee.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I have to stay at the festival to consign with the SWAP?
No. We think there are plenty of reasons to want to enjoy the festivities, but you are not required to stay on premises.
How much does it cost?
There is a one time $20 Consignor registration fee to cover an individual or family. When we sell your bike, we take a 10% commission (max $300) out of the final check we send to you.
What items do you take?
Kid bikes, adult bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes, bike trailers, bike racks, seats, chest pads, new helmets, clothing, bike parts, etc. If you have something that you're not sure about, reach out to us.
How and when do I set the price?
You decide the price. It just needs to be in whole dollar amounts, so round up or down. Once you've registered you will receive a welcome email confirming registration- at this time you can list your items along with your pricing.
Will you negotiate for me?
We can if you want us to. When you tell us about your item, you will have the option to give us instructions. We can even text/call you during negotiations.
What if my item doesn't sell?
You can pick it up immediately after the SWAP, or donate the item to charity. Pick up time is between 4pm - 5pm. Any items not picked up before 6pm will be donated to a charity of our choice at 5:05pm.
