ATTEND

The Bay Area Bike Swap Festival is a FREE one-day bike celebration that includes:

Bike SWAP (day of consignment: bikes and equipment)

Bike workshops for adults and children

Kids skills course

Educational bike programming

Bike and Gear Vendors

BMX demo

Good food, music and beer

A whole lotta sweet raffle prizes

WHAT IS FOR SALE?

Everything from new bikes and gear, to classics straight from personal collections.
The SWAP will have consigned used bikes and equipment to view and purchase.
We also have booths from established bike shops and independent sellers present.

WHY?

Not only does it provide one-stop browsing and shopping for used and new bike gear, you can also share community with other bike enthusiasts.  Participate in a wheelie contest, find out about local family bike rides, get the info on bike workshops and planned bike parks in the East Bay.

Best of all, by rolling up you're doing good.  Proceeds from this Swap registration and consignment fees, raffles, sponsorships and vendor registration fees will benefit The Bay Area Bike Project (BABP) , which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that mobilizes people through the Power of Bicycles.  BABP is committed to getting more kids on bikes, bike education and advocating for safe biking communities.  To find out more about Bay Area Bike Project please visit: www.bayareabikeproject.org or follow them on social media.

INFO FOR BUYERS

  • Browse the selection of bikes (adult and kids, specialized and recreational), parts, apparel, gear and more — new and used — you never know what gems you’ll discover!

  • If you purchase from a vendor booth, check with the vendor to understand the purchase terms.

  • If you purchase from the SWAP,  there are some things you'll need to know:

  1. Some bikes will be available for test riding in a small secure area.
It will be noted on the tag if the Seller will allow test rides.
Safety first:  BYOH (Bring your own helmet).   You must bring your own helmet to test ride a bike.

  2. NO RETURNS.  All sales are as-is and final.  This is a one day consignment and it's just not feasible to offer returns.  We will do our best to check quality when sellers drop off items but please check your items carefully before purchasing.   If you really are regretting your purchase, you can always sell it at next year's SWAP.

  3. There will be mechanics from local shops to chat with and help with safety checks.  Take advantage of these free resources before purchasing your bike.

  4.  There will be volunteers ready to assist and answer questions.

  5.   You may purchase items with cash or by card.
